Apply today!What you will be doingUnder the direct management of the Brazil Finance Manager and supervision of the Regional Finance Director, this position will work with the project to implement a new ERP for Brazil and will handle topics related to Accounting, Direct Tax and Indirect Tax, through daily activities to support the operation and accounting/tax analyzes related to area indicators. The Accounting and Tax Supervisor will interact with internal and external customers, suppliers, internal and/or external audits and external consultants, as well as tax authorities, through e-mails, telephone and/or other communication channels of these contacts.Accounting (BRGAAP)

• Integrations and validations of accounting entries for all ERP modules
• Payroll accounting and validations
• Consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing processes
• Preparation of accounting reconciliations and other periodic reports
• Accounting analysis of results and assets
• Internal audit service
• Monitoring of local accounting pronouncements for BRGAAP negotiations
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting is a plus

Tax – Direct

• Calculation and accounting of income taxes (IRPJ and CSLL)
• Submission of tax returns, such as SPED ACCOUNTING, ECD, ECF, DCTF WEB, DIRF and IBGE
• Request for tax reimbursements, such as PERDCOMP
• Analysis and reports related to direct taxes topics
• Assistance to the external audit to review tax calculations and related topics.

Tax – Indirect

• Calculation and accounting of PIS and COFINS
• Calculation and accounting of ICMS and ISS
• Submission of tax returns, such as SPED FISCAL, GIA, DCTF, REINF and GISS
• Analysis and reports related to indirect taxes topics
• Participation in meetings and alignments with Shared Service Center teams
• Other closing processes (prior and monthly) to support accounting closing

Local Invoice Issue

• Participation in meetings and sending information to the Shared Service Center teams
• Local billing validation and reports for Transport and Warehouse operation customers
• Assistance to internal and external customers for tax technical clarifications
• Elaboration of analyzes and projections related to the topics under its management for decision making

Leadership

• Periodic meetings with direct reports for alignment and monitoring
• Technical and behavioral development of direct reports
• Be a reference and point of contact for peers in other areas

What your background should look likeEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Accounting Sciences (Accounting registration in Brazil, CRC)
• Master or equivalent in Accounting, Auditing and Tax are desirable.
• Practical knowledge of accounting and tax processes
• Experience with ERPs and tax tools (Protheus)
• Practical knowledge in a matrix organization will be considered an advantage.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Intermediate/Advanced English
• Desirable Spanish
• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) – advanced
• Microsoft Excel – advanced Strong ability with numbers, calculations, and analysis/interpretation of accounting data
• Strong organization skills
• Good relationship and communication
• Self-management skills, motivation, and proactivity.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions
• Friendly, polite, and reliable attitude
