Before joining us, She served as Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology for the State of São Paulo. During her mandate, the São Paulo economy grew five faster than the Brazilian average, and the state concluded three of the biggest carbon-neutral private investments in the country’s history. From her time in government, Patricia also brings a proud record of developing inclusive teams of Black and female leaders. She also led São Paulo’s Covid-19 crisis taskforce.Partner Eveline Speelman joined Systemiq following a successful career at McKinsey, where she founded and led Sustainability Insights, overseeing the development of models and tools in sustainability. She specialized in developing (country) decarbonization pathways, industrial decarbonization, and broader energy transition. Eveline supported companies and investors to capture opportunities and mitigate challenges related to the shift to a low-carbon energy system and broader issues related to resource productivity. Eveline brings international experience in advisory, consultancy, and partnership building and co-authored numerous publications.As a Strategy Project Manager for Energy, you will be working on various projects, including the decarbonization of energy-consuming sectors, progressively expanding to other product/services sectors by engaging with the full value chain to reach a critical scale of deployment of a portfolio of solutions.The Mindset, Skills and Experience we are looking for:Ideal candidates will have demonstrated contribution to change and impact, e.g., in thought leadership/research, project management, client relations, or stakeholder management.   • Tackling systemic challenges, with a distinctive ability to develop practical disruptive solutions in the fields of energy system design and decarbonization, of industry, transport, power markets, and/or built environment
  • Bridging across the real economy, policy and finance to help mobilise capital and accelerate market transformation
  • Using data modeling, collating, and analysing our client’s current and previous years’ energy usage data.
  • Calculate the amount of energy wastage that occurs due to inefficient energy resources.
  • Educating clients on alternative energy resources.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and preparing concise reports on research results.
  • Identifying and evaluating viable options to reduce companies’ energy consumption. Formulating effective energy management plans for clients after careful analysis of current plans.
  • Ensure that cost-effective and sustainable energy systems are catered for.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in environmental legislation which could impact the project
  • Provide low carbon solutions to accelerate growth

Essential Qualifications / Experience

  • Business international level of English (required) and Portuguese – both written and oral
  • Bachelor’s degree in earth science, environmental engineering, energy management, or related field.
  • Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) accreditation is advantageous.
  • 6+ years proven experience working as an energy consultant and project director
  • Sound knowledge of the renewable energy market in LATAM
