Descrição da Vaga: The Latin America Public Policy team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join us as a Public Policy Manager, and support work related to private messaging products, including WhatsApp, in the region, helping to shape issues and product agendas, collaborating closely with internal teams, to advise on the public policy implications of products, working with a closely coordinated and cross-functional global team. The role requires significant experience either working with or in government, politics, regulatory agencies or think tanks, as well as an ability to grasp complex technical and policy issues.Public Policy Manager, WA and Messaging ResponsibilitiesAdvise product and business teams on regional public policy matters to guide development of products, services and policiesSupport teams in messaging related issues during electoral periods.Identify, monitor, and analyze current and emerging policy issues affecting private messaging in the LATAM region.Support internal team planning process.Work internally to obtain general narratives, and adapt them to regional teams’ needs, focused on local policy engagements.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in law, political science, international affairs, or similar5+ years of experience in public policy, advocacy, or government affairsDeep expertise in policy issues and product counselingFluent EnglishExperience working in the technology industry.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in law, political science, international affairs, data science or similarExperience in partnerships with international organizations.Proficiency in Spanish and/or PortugueseFamiliarity with regional regulatory frameworks and policy trends in Latin America regarding WhatsApp and MessagingLocationsAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
