Our main goal is to support responsible and sustainable business growth by anticipating accounting and regulatory insights and delivering accurate, timely information to key stakeholders. We are producing reliable and traceable accounting and finance information, supporting the company’s growth through a robust, reliable, and scalable process with a focus on data and analytics. We are responsible for bringing together all of Nubank’s financial data, monitoring it, and making sure that everything is accounted for in our systems. We are also in charge of all the regulatory and financial reports, cash management, and financial operations for Nubank, as well as the single source of accounting information.As a Legal Entity Senior Manager Manager, you’ll be expected to:

• Collaborate with Business areas and all key internal stakeholders to co-create initiatives, anticipating accounting solutions for the initiatives, products and features
• Oversee the creation and reporting of legal entities

Manage Holdings financials and books and records
Responsible for Global Financial Statements * Structure relationships and partner with businesses through agile and efficient processes

• Fully equipped with IFRS accounting solutions to serve as a global accounting policy
• Question the status quo and help to set stone within the team
• Review how financial products work in the Brazilian market, as well as their respective regulations.
• Coordinate and align the Road map of Controllership with the road map of the Products.
• Analyze the financial events and data structure of new products and features and their impacts on accounting, taxes, and cash flows in order to determine their journal entries, according to accounting and regulatory frameworks.
• Research and analyze technical accounting matters, including the assessment of the impact of new accounting regulations and pronouncements, to ensure the product’s accounting is in compliance with the applicable standards;
• Manage cross-functional initiatives regarding accounting, reporting, and systems-related partnering with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders, from Colombia and other countries where we operate.
• Work with Analytics Engineers and Finance Platform analysts collaborating with specification, design, and implementation of data architecture for building solutions, improving and automatizing processes and controls for Controllership.
• Guarantee proper documentation of product accounting and regulatory reporting definitions.
• Lead the process of accounting and conciliation for investments, intercompany loans, financial instruments, and IFRS9 for financial instruments.
• Define and execute proper accounting definitions based on the business classification of financial instruments.
• Attend internal and external audits regarding product and financial instruments accounting.

We are looking for a Legal Entity – Controllership Manager professional who has:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar
• Professional experience of 10+ years working in financial institutions
• Experience in global policies and societary structuring
• Strong global accounting knowledge, with IFRS expertise
• Relevant experience designing product accounting journal entries, accounting conciliations, and monthly accounting reports, as well as creating internal controls.
• Demonstrated experience with the preparation and review of accounting regulatory reports.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with product accounting and regulatory reporting;
• Ability to tackle complex problems involving several topics/variables, such as business, regulatory, operations, and product features.
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills and ability to communicate well with different stakeholders
• Solid analytical background and data-driven mindset. Must be comfortable manipulating big and small datasets to make decisions (SQL knowledge would be a plus
• Strategic thinking and solid business acumen.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• Fluent in English, Spanish would be an advantage.
